WLS EXTENDED CARE September - June 2010  -2009-2010 Extended Care  Registration Form

Westchester Lutheran School has created a new before and after school program called Extended Care.  Our program is available year round and includes a special emphasis on holiday, spring, and summer camps.   This service is geared exclusively for Westchester Lutheran School families.  Our goal is to provide a safe and fun environment for our students.  During the school year students enjoy a wide range of school activities.

Morning Extended Care provides the students with an opportunity to enjoy quiet time by playing board games, watching educational TV and videos, and getting  exercise before school starts.

Afternoon Extended Care program  is designed to give students a break from their academically demanding school day.  The entire lower campus playground is available for students to get some fresh air and exercise.   Light snacks are given to satisfy their hunger without spoiling their dinner-time appetites.  Parents are welcome to send snacks in addition to the ones provided by our staff.

Specific time is set aside for the students to complete homework. Our Staff is available to assist the children with their assignments.   Supervised classrooms are used to encourage students to complete their homework in a quiet and comfortable environment.

Daycare starts right after school ends.   Daycare is provided as a service to the families of our students only.  Payment is due on the 1st of each month.

Full time:
7:00am - 8:30am ~ Before school care
3:15pm - 6:00pm ~ After school care

Part time:
Mornings only: 7:00am - 8:30am
Afternoons only: 3:15pm - 6:00pm

SPORTS CAMPS
Sports camps are held throughout the year.  The goal of these camps is to encourage children to develop fundamental skills in a non-competitive way.  Offensive and defensive skills for game situations are used in these camps. Participants learn the importance of warm-up, stretching, and injury prevention.  In clinic format, these classes instruct students on how to develop successful techniques.

The  programs are open to boys and girls at all levels of play.  Taught by qualified coaches and assistants, these camps promise to be fun and exciting.  They are filled with all elements of the sport.

HOLIDAY CAMPS

During Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter vacation, special activities are available at these camps.  In the summer months our students enjoy a variety of activities as well as a weekly field trip to a major amusement park.  Special workshops and clubs further enhance the student's experience.  Not all activities are offered year round. Times and dates will be posted in advance.
