Hello WLS Families,
Hope this weekend you were able to enjoy the weather and get outside. It has been an interesting first month of school here at WLS. I am excited to send this letter with hopes of the monthly Wolfpack News becoming one of your sources for the latest “happenings” around our campus.
We look forward to starting this month with great news to share regarding our increased enrollment of 5 new students. YEAH!!! As many of you know, increasing our enrollment is one of our main goals. Our marketing campaign is underway, with current imaging for flyers for you to share and post (so stay tuned), with our ongoing updated website design, and with our banners and local postings throughout the city of Westchester. However, as you heard me say at BTSN, you, our current families, are the best tool we have. We hope you have been able to witness and feel the positive changes we have made this year, while maintaining the integrity of our mission of providing a traditional Christian education with a balanced program of academic rigor alongside a superb enrichment program of the Performing Arts, Sports, Spanish and Art.
This month we will focus our efforts on outreaching to our new Early Learning Center Families. Please join me in welcoming the WLS-ELC on October 11th. Look for details on the website and their own FB pages. We will also join a showcase to help promote our TK and Kindergarten program at a local kinder roundup later this month. As the weeks move along, we will have some important dates for you to pay attention to, such as picture day, our annual Fall Fun Festival, our weekly Chapel and Student of the Month celebrations, as well as many other opportunities which build the WLS community. Please continue to check Gradelink, our website, teachers pages, Monday envelopes and other resources to get the latest WLS “happenings”.
As the new principal here at WLS, I want to assure you, you and your children make a difference. When you are here; we are grateful, we are inspired and we are stronger.. When you are not here, you are missed. If your child is late, please walk your child, not just drop off, to the office. We get to see you and help your child make a seamless transition into their class.
Mark your calendars for the dates on the website calendar and know there may be changes. Be sure to continue to check your teachers calendar, the school’s calendar and all of our social media outlets.
Thank you for being here and I look forward to chatting with you and seeing you soon.
