Extended Care
Westchester Lutheran School offers a before and after school program geared exclusively for WLS students. Our goal is to provide a safe and fun environment for our students. Extended Care is available year round with special emphasis on holidays, spring, and summer. During the school year students enjoy a wide range of activities under the supervision of our staff.
Morning care provides the students with an opportunity to enjoy time to play board games, cards, puzzles, and get some exercise and fresh air before school starts.
Afternoon care is designed to give students a break from their academically demanding school day. The playground is available for students to get some fresh air, exercise and visit with friends. A light snack is provided to satisfy their hunger without spoiling their dinner-time appetite. Parents are welcome to send snacks in addition to the ones provided by our staff.
After the break, we provide students with a quiet place to work on homework assignments. A daycare staff monitors students and provides assistance where needed for our students.
