UPDATE FROM 2023:

On October 31,2023 WLC delivered 419 scarves and 30 hats to Operation Gratitude, located in Chatsworth.  Operation Gratitude's mission is to say "Thank You" to our Military and First Responder communities, and to honor their service by creating opportunities for all Americans to express gratitude.  In the cold winter months, they include a lovingly handmade scarf or hat in every Care Package they send to the troops.

Thanks to Donna Anderson, Lisbeth Borre', Mary Cairns, Anna Robbin, Susan Scharf, and Michi Song for knitting and crocheting these scarves, which are included in the care packages. With grants from Thrivent Financial, we are able to purchase the needed yarn for our scarves and hats.
